There are many people who suffer with migraines that find there are certain foods that cause them. This is not the case with every sufferer though, but it can be worth seeing whether you are sensitive to certain foods to find out whether eliminating them could cause you problems.

  • Keeping a DiaryIt is really important to keep a diary where you note down when you get the headaches, how severe they are and what you have eaten. You may start to see a relationship between the headaches and certain foods and it will also allow you to be aware of how often they are happening etc. It may be that they are due to stress or other things and noting down what happened in the day may also help you to find a pattern.

It may seem like a lot of effort, but imagine what it would be like if you could be migraine free. Giving up chocolate might seem like a big sacrifice but compare it to the pain and misery of migraines and then decide whether you want to give it up.
