7 Cocktail Recipes You’ll Want To Ring In The New Year With

We’re just days away from saying goodbye to 2021, and hello to 2022. Undoubtedly, many of us will be ringing in the new year from the comfort of our own homes. For those looking to add a little something fancy to the drinks they’re serving this year — though there’s nothing wrong with a perfectly chilled bottle of bubbles (or two) — here are seven tasty cocktail recipes you can make at home.

Midnight Kiss

Never one to shy away from the spotlight, Hudson Whiskey NY Bright Lights, Big Bourbon is a bold, grain-forward, no-holds-barred straight bourbon whiskey. Distilled from New York corn and aged in new charred American oak barrels, with notes of rich vanilla and lightly salted caramel on the finish, it shines brighter than the rest.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Hudson Whiskey Bright Lights Big Bourbon or Short Stack
  • .5 part triple sec
  • 2 parts apple cider
  • 3 parts chilled Champagne

Method: Mix the whiskey, triple sec and cider in Champagne flute and top with chilled Champagne. Garnish with an apple slice.

Lousia’s Coco Mocha

Louisa’s Liqueur adds a spirited kick as well as flavors of caramel and pecan to your favorite coffee. Cream of coconut and rich demerara syrup add indulgent sweetness and a dash of chocolate bitters ties the entire treat together. This cocktail was created by Rachel Ramirez.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Louisa’s Liqueur
  • .5 oz Coco Lopez
  • .25 oz demerara syrup
  • 1 dash chocolate bitters
  • 6 oz hot coffee

Method: Stir together Louisa’s Liqueur, Coco Lopez, bitters and demerara in an Irish coffee mug. Fill with hot coffee and stir to combine. Top with whipped cream.

Buñuelo Old Fashioned

Dano’s Tequila is hand-crafted in small batches at one of the oldest tequila distilleries in Mexico. While sipping on an old fashioned with a Dano’s Tequila twist, taste the spiced cinnamon with dash bitters while incorporating the not-so-traditional tequila Reposado.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Dano’s Añejo
  • .5 oz spiced cinnamon syrup (cinnamon, anise, lime oils)
  • 4 dashes bitters

Method: Stir and strain, garnish with lime peel or Buñuelo

Sparkling Holiday Punch

As the first major gin brand to be made with 100% sustainably sourced botanicals, Bombay Sapphire is a no-brainer for holiday celebrations. Ingredients:

  • 12 oz BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Gin
  • 18 oz apple cider
  • 6 oz iced black tea
  • 12 oz MARTINI & ROSSI prosecco

Method: Build in your favorite punch bowl with lots of fresh ice. Garnish with lemon wheels, cinnamon sticks and grated nutmeg on top of the punch. Top with prosecco as people arrive, so the bubbles are fresh.

Pear Social

Like the soft winter wheat used to make Grey Goose Original, the anjou pear is cultivated in France and is an essential ingredient in classic French pastries and desserts like the tarte aux poires, resulting in a lovely pear vodka that makes for a perfect holiday treat.
